Counselling

Counselling is about holding a space of receptivity where the client is heard. Counselling offers the opportunity to feel more empowered in their lives, have greater self-confidence, thus enabling the client to make clearer decisions during difficult times.

What happens during a session?

We provide the client with a warm non-judgemental and confidential service; a safe space to share any personal difficulties one may be experiencing, and find inner and outer resources to enable one to move forward through difficult times.

During an initial meeting, the therapist will take a background from the client including presenting issues. Once a contract to counsel is established, the client is facilitated to explore their thoughts, feelings and behaviours with the therapist, and insights are mutually considered. The therapist’s aim is to empower clients to live in a more satisfying and resourceful way while respecting their values and personal resources.
